Social Responsibilities

GEA takes up the charity idea of "active commitment to social responsibilities, focus on people's livelihood and repaying the society". On our 5th anniversary, we launched GEA “Giving” series of charitable activities in 2014.

In the remote areas and poverty stricken rural areas in China, there are some children who are deprived of schooling or have to walk a long distance to school. People’s attention and concern for them will mean a lot to them.

As a leading educational outreach organization in the industry, GEA always endeavours to spread love with the power of charity and has a responsibility to seek happiness for students. In the future charity activities, GEA will continue to promote the development of social welfare for youth in China and to make greater contributions to education and culture in remote and poverty stricken areas so that every child in need of help can be healthy and have a bright future! We hope that our ongoing charitable work can get more businesses and individuals to care and to pay attention to education and philanthropy.

The 1st Ride For The Children- Cycling Around Qinghai Lake

As the first session of GEA “Giving” series, “Ride for the Children” was launched in Xihai Town, Qinghai Province on July 2, 2014. We tried our best to raise education funds for children in remote areas by cycling around the Qinghai Lake in a low-carbon green way. All of the riders wearing an orange T-shirt rode around the Lake. We travelled more than 360 kilometers, which lasted four days. All proceeds of the event were donated to “Sowers Action” which is one of the famous non-profit-making charitable organizations in Hong Kong.

The Ancient Tea Horse Route Expedition

Organized by Sowers Action, a non-profit-making charitable organization committed to promote education aid in rural China, the 2015 Ancient Tea Horse Route Expedition Kick-off Carnival was held on 26th October 2014. The Ancient Tea Horse Route Expedition was participated by more than one hundred kind-hearted people. They started from Hong Kong, and hike to the destinations to raise money for the education of children in remoted areas in China. Staff of GEA HK branch applied to be volunteers for the activity with intensive passion. Even though we didn’t hike as we mainly serve our help to the participators by the boothes during the activity, we wished to do our bite through different way.
